Michael Früh: A multi-functional robot for the healthcare sector – potentials and challenges learned from real-life applications

The shortage of skilled workers and demographic trends make it urgently necessary to relieve the burden on healthcare professionals and to find new ways to keep up service quality. Assistance robots such as Lio, developed by the Swiss company F&P Robotics, can already provide support today. But what are the specific challenges in everyday use? Where are the limitations and where lie the opportunities? Michael Früh gives an insight into the everyday life of Lio in health care facilities.
